Really like this feeder. For several years, we used a series of camera feeders from another brand. And, while they had their quirks, we grew to trust the brand over time. Especially, after they ironed out the teething problems each unit had with subsequent reworks. Jump to now - we needed an extra unit and had heard about petkit products and saw all the features available on this product. Decided to give it a try.

Honestly, it works beautifully with a few exceptions: 1) The app. This may be minor for others, but the English language usage is awkward and sometimes incomplete. Almost like a badly translated sheet of instructions included with a piece of flat pack furniture. Not a major issue, but annoying. 2) Stand. The unit has a set of legs to raise off the ground, which I love being able to do this. Unfortunately, one of the legs doesn’t properly fit into the unit, so it wobbles or falls off. Every time one of the cats goes near, it slips off. We finally taped it on to stabilise, but it would be nice if it fit properly. 3) Cat recognition. We have issues with the unit correctly identifying between two different cats. It is just between these two and never any of the others. Perhaps with future updates this will clear up.

Great pet feeder for my cat while I’m away!! I love that I can see him and talk to him while I’m gone and it sends updates of when he eats or walks by and even shows comparisons of his food bowl so I know how much he eats! Wish I had gotten this sooner!!

love the camera feature. also love that food doesn’t seem to get stuck in the shoot like my other automatic feeders

Dispenses food well with an in-app built schedule with customizable portion sizes. The one down side is that the live camera feed isn’t very compatible with my wi-fi connection, so I don’t get very good clips or views of my cat(s) eating.

This feeder is a very good product. Easy to assemble and features are amazing. My kitty loves it.

For me, this made sense. My puppy hangs out with my mom during the day. Unfortunately, she has Alzheimer’s and can’t remember where food is or even if the dog should eat. She just knows that’s her friend. I love that I can see if my little guy is hungry, if he continuously visit his dish, I’ll get a video of my guy looking for dinner. I have the option at that time of indulging him in an extra snack or his meal was already preprogrammed for a time I chose. Perfect dosing every time. I am glad I bought this dish and my little guy is too. Fair price for what it is. You do have to pay for an add on service to obtain certain portions of the videos for reviews later. So just a heads up. But, even then still worth it.

Works great and my kitties love it. Easy to clean, And fun to see and talk to the kitties anytime.

When I ordered the feeder, I didn t really imagine how much fun it would be—but it is. I am smiling multiple times a day 😍

Great idea having a camera at the food bowl... When I'm away and check in remotely, I can push out another snack if needed.

I like the feeders and they seem to be effective. I like that they have battery backup, and the cameras are good. I ordered two and I was unaware of the subscription requirement to use them as I had hoped. This is really disappointing. Moreover I would have to pay $7/month for each one. IF I could have most features free and pay $50/year for a subscription for all of the devices in my family I would probably not mind but I am frustrated that I would have to pay for each device separately and about the amount. It would also be good if they offered an annual discount and or one time lifetime fee.

Will have to see how the devices function long term but the kitties seem to like them and they will be good when I travel. I would also like to be able to have them send text messages which would be a value add for the subscription service though I have automated this using a phone automation tool to convert the notifications from petkit to SMS messages that get sent automatically.

Order arrived with water damages. Contact customer service, after a few back and forth email, they finally agreed my offer of return and exchange. Asked when will the replacement arrive, the customer service emailed said she didn’t know when their US office will send the replacement. Seem like this company internal communication is a mess. A bad customer experience. I have no idea when I can receive the replacement unit?
