How can I deactivate the camera?
You can turn off the camera directly in the Settings. After turning it off, the camera will not record any video footage. You can also set scheduled video recordings based on your needs.
How can I view the video footage from the previous days?
When the device is first bound to the PETKIT app, there is a 7-day free trial to view the previous day’s video footage. After the trial period ends, a subscription to PETKIT Care+ is required for continued video footage playback. You can choose from different PETKIT Care+ subscription plans based on your needs.
How long is the captured video footage stored in the cloud?
The PETKIT care+ cloud storage is loop storage within a limited time, which varies depending on the subscription plan. For example, a 7-day loop means you can view video footage from the past 7 days, including today’s, and the videos from the eighth day forward will be automatically overwritten. Only after subscribing to PETKIT Care+ cloud storage service is video footage playback accessible. All video footage can be download.
What types of pet food should I use for YUMSHARE DUAL-HOPPER?
The feeder is compatible with dry kibble and freeze-dried kibble, with two hoppers for separate food storage to prevent flavor mixing. Avoid dry kibble with a diameter over 12mm (0.47in) or freeze-dried kibble with a diameter over 9mm (0.35in).
Will it still dispense food when it goes offline?
Yes. The feeder will still dispense food according to the feeding schedule you set up.
Will it still dispense food when there is a power outage?
YUMSHARE DUAL-HOPPER supports battery mode. After installing four D batteries, the feeder will still dispense food according to the feeding schedule you set up in case of a power outage. Please note that the backup batteries need to be purchased separately.
What type of network does it support?
It only supports 2.4 GHz networks.
Can this feeder work for dogs?
It is more suitable for cats and small-breed dogs.
Is it possible for pets to shake the feeder to access more food?
The feeder’s enclosed design prevents accidental dispensing when shaken, and the pet-proof lock on the lid can prevent your pet from opening it. It dispenses food following your preset feeding schedule or can be manually dispensed by pressing the Feed button.
How do I introduce my pet to the YUMSHARE DUAL-HOPPER?
Place the feeder where your pet currently eats, ensure it's not scheduled for feeding yet, let your pet explore for a day or two, add a bit of their food for familiarity, place treats nearby for positive associations, and press the Feed button while your pet is present to introduce them to the feeder's sounds.
