This robo cat box is great! Love the large size, love the app, love the way it cleans after every use and how it keeps track of each individual cat! This is a great buy and the only regret I have, was not getting it sooner!

This litterbox is the best, I love how it weighs the cat entering, the smell is great! It functions well. Only thing is I don’t know how to turn off the auto cleaning feature because it cleans and puts the litter in the trash even when she doesn’t use the bathroom. You will get what you paid for. It doesn’t leak only thing I find that leaks is the air purifier but that’s not a big thing. The design is great! It’s worth its value for your money.

I can’t believe I didn’t buy one of these sooner. I was hesitant buying a robotic litter box because they’re usually sooo expensive. My house doesn’t smell like litter box anymore and I have 3 cats. This product has been a game changer. The price was good and so far everything has worked great. I bought the litter that comes with it and it’s amazing. Highly recommend getting that litter as well. I am stoked about this thing.

way above the rating scale cuz its cheaper than litter robot but i think looks more appealing. i love the stickers it came with, how accurate the app and gadget is. everything about it is just so amazing. my cat loves it as well. sometimes she goes inside just to play.

im planning to buy one more in the future!! i already bought my cat two feeders from petkit.

I have a 5-month old kitten who I have using the Really Good Cat Litter brand, which is a tofu litter. There seems to be nearly zero reviews for this brand of tofu litter and not enough amazing credit being given for the PETKIT PURAMAX for the way it cleans this litter type. This automatic litter box works like a charm for me, and I was so hesitant at first when looking for an automatic litter box that I would have a hard time finding one that would be able to filter out her business effectively with this litter. Moreover, the PETKIT PURAMAX removes odor from internally so effectively, the bags store many days worth of waste from the basket without scent, tracks her usage with time and weight, has scheduled cleaning functions, and has very active sensors that can tell when my cat is using/in the vicinity/done with the litter box. This was the best purchase I have made for my cat in addition to an automatic feeder and gravity water dispenser.

The waste bags hold plenty, the odor removal scent is not a strong smell and masks everything I used to smell from her old litter box, the mat collects a large percentage of the litter, and stickers are an awesome addition.

Would recommend to anyone even slightly questioning to buy!!! Hopefully, I can be as loyal to PETKIT as possible and will be sticking with their products for a long long time. Would love to make stuff happen (media-related) with their team and @petuniathetabbygirl!

Quiet and it works

I love it so much I now have two for the boys both them and I love it. Never been easier to keep the litter box clean just take the bag out give a quick wipe if some litter is on bottom of collection bin remind and put back easy peasy can’t say enough about it

My cat loves her new PETKIT litter box. The assembly was easy. I find my cat is fascinated with watching it self clean…perhaps too much. I get app notifications of 18 seconds in the litter box. I figured out she just wanted to see it clean again. Lucky the safety mechanism allows her this entertainment. So far, so good.

It took a few days for my cats to get used to it but once they did it’s been amazing! It’s quiet which is a big plus and has an odor deodorizer which keeps its fresh. I enjoy the app which tracks when and how long each of my cat uses the potty and also records their weight. I also like the smart features on the app on how often it cycles and sleep time mode. Note that this litter box is only recommended for cats 6months and older. I would probably turn it off for kittens until they are older and manually cycle it which you can do easily. Thanks PETKIT!

Worth every dollar!
A) cats love it - just put their old box next to it dirty and they picked up this one right away.
B) ANY litter works with it! We tried all kinds and found what works best for our cats and us but the PETKIT handled them all.
C) the app is great and the device really is “smart”. It senses everything from their weight to how full the litter is and the odor purifying tool. It can all be used and monitored via the app. I can even have it cleaned and odor removed from work if I know someone is stopping by but honestly it automatically works so well I don’t need to do that.
D) I pay verrryyy little attention to the litter situation now. I never have to scoop and until the app alerts me the litter bin is full or running low on litter I leave it be and live my life!
E) super easy to take apart and clean and put back together. All the little stickers on it remind you each time if you’re worried about it. I haven’t had any problems with leaking or spills or anything untidy.
F) it takes care of itself so when we travel or have ppl pet sit it takes all the work out of things and makes everyone feel better while giving the cats what they want (they love very clean litter boxes)!

Edit:
2 weeks in: When it was working, it was set it and forget it. However while boxing it back up, I noticed a small leak. Company wants you to buy some kind of stickers to stop the urine from going to the base of the unit. Starting to smell after a few days. I couldn't seem to pinpoint since I have other litter boxes. Seems the product is now defective. I ran through all of the online troubleshooting tips. The screen is now blank and I cannot do setup or anything on the screen. I hear this is an ongoing issue with digital litter boxes. Guess I'm going back to the manual litter boxes for now.

This seems to be very well built at the moment. I just installed it. It took less than 10 min to complete the pairing , add litter and ready to use. It actually comes pre-assembled except for some tape removal, and a few other accessories that need to be removed.
The one thing I may have to return it for is thst it may be a little too small for one of my bigger cats. She is 18 lbs and a bit wide. So far she has been nosey but has not gone in as of 1st day. I will keep you updated on the litter box. As of now tho this is amazing.

I went from spending $50/month on litter, to only $20/month. I love that I am no longer dumping full boxes of litter and waste. Now I only empty the trash bin once ever 7-10 days. F.y.i this is. A single cat home, results may vary depending on the number of cats in the home.

When it works, it's great. But it keeps getting stuck like this saying there's a cat in it. There is clearly no cat and it does not fix itself. I have to unplug, reset, so all kinds of things to finally get it back to normal. Evidently, this is a very common issue that the manufacturer is not resolving. Someone said to set the cat weight to 35 lbs. And that didn't work either. How am I supposed to leave this thing unsupervised? My cats won't be able to use it.

It could meet my basic needs, which is to automatically collect car poo. However, it often got stuck at the position shown in the picture when it cleans. Also, the weight measurements are always wrong, even after recalibration.

At first it didn’t work accurately when a cat was in the box but I put it on a hard surface and that problem was fixed. It definitely HAS to be on a hard surface to work/register the pet inside but I LOVE it. I’ll probably be buying another in the future. The smell of cat litter is basically gone. My dogs can’t get into the box and get their “treats.” It’s definitely expensive but I think it is worth it especially if you have multiple cats.

Update: 5/5 The liner for the cylinder does clean easily, and is water resistant. Easy to clean this when you clean the cylinder so I am less concerned than I was before about them ditching the TPE liner. Also the network issues have been resolved and things are working without issue.Overall, the machine works as advertised. It is good at self-cleaning, quiet, and my cats took to it right away. I also think the size of the waste bin is adequate, and should last single cat household about 5-7 days. I am giving this 3/5 stars for now but believe it has the potential to be a 5/5 machine.I have two concerns:1. The basin liner/mat is advertised as TPE rubber that is nonstick. My machine does NOT have this liner. Rather, it has a sewn in treated cloth liner at the bottom of the basin. I emailed customer support and received this response:"This cylinder mat is our newly upgraded version.Because the previous TPE version users reported some shortcomings, we have upgraded the mat.This newly upgraded version can better prevent leakage, prevent sticking and prevent cats from scratching.So it will bring a better user experience to the user."I am OK with this if it works, but I already see 2 pee/poop stains on it after 5 days of use (haven't tried washing yet and asked them how they would like me to do that). I also asked if replacement mats/liners would be available in the future should I need to replace them. They need to update their photos and descriptions on Amazon and their own website and provide guidance on this subject. This is one of the most important components of the machine.2. The app is decent enough, but I have had frequent network connectivity issues that appear to be from the host-end.Again, I think this machine is very good, but would like to see improvement in these two areas as they could significantly effect the usefulness/longevity of the product.

This litter box was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! I spent months and months researching about self cleaning litter boxes. They are a big investment and tbh, none of the options - previous to the Pura Max - seem like they are worth it.

Last week I got back into researching and saw the Pura Max. I’m familiar with Pet Kit because I bought their automatic feeder a couple of years ago and so far, so good. I was a little hesitant of course, given than there were not that many reviews on Amazon. However, after watching YouTube videos with reviews, and reading the few comments here, I decided to pull the trigger. I couldn’t be happier I did! This litter box is amazing.

Pros:
- extremely quiet. I have it in my walk-in closet, and I can’t hear it from my bedroom.
- spacious and comfortable for my cats. The inside looks smaller in videos, but in real life it’s more than enough.
- big waste bin and it doesn’t smell. Love the fact that it includes the odor removal spray and it works automatically during each cleaning.
- super cool design. I love the fact that the cats don’t have to make a big jump just to get in.
- works perfectly with the app! As I previously mentioned, I have the PETKIT automatic feeder and since it’s a little old now, sometimes there’s conflict between the feeder and the app. However, the litter box is a whole other thing. It works PERFECTLY and it connected to the wifi super easy.

Cons:
- I only have one single con, and it’s the fact that the weight sensor doesn’t work properly - or simply doesn’t - work if the litter box is on carpet. That means that the litter box won’t sense when your cat(s) go inside, so it won’t automatically clean after each use, or it won’t weight the litter so it won’t also indicate if the litter level is too low. The manual does state that the litter box should be placed on a hard surface, but they don’t really explain anything about the weight sensor. I found out about the whole thing because of a YouTube video that someone posted with a review. She said she had that same issue and simply solved it by buying some floor tiles from Home Depot. I did the same (you can see the tiles in the picture) and it was the perfect solution. I think it’s important to mention this because as I said, PETKIT doesn’t really explain the possible issues with the weight sensor, so I’m sure a lot of people will think they got a defective litter box when that’s not really the case.

Hope this review is helpful to those who have been thinking about getting a self cleaning litter box. This one is worth every penny. In my case, I travel a lot and have to pay a pet sitter to come every other day to clean the old regular litter boxes. Obviously, besides the fact that my cats would have “dirty” litter boxes for two days, the cost of having someone come every other day adds up. I’m sure I’ll recoup the investment by the end of this year.

I absolutely love this machine. My friend had 2 litter robots when I lived with her and they stopped working properly within months of owning them. They were so hard to clean and it still smelled so bad all the time.

The beautiful contraption is a life and nose saver. I can’t say enough good things about it. First I got it on super sale while checking for something else on Amazon and it was too amazing to pass up. I had been eyeing this for awhile.

My cat isn’t very sensitive and likes to explore so she took to this right away. Some cats may take a little longer. If that’s the case take some litter from their old box to put on top of the new litter.

In my opinion it’s easy to clean. I take cleaning wipes and wipe it’s all down inside including the poop slide. It tells you on the app when the bin is full so you can put a new bag in. There’s a place for a deodorizer inside the poop bin. If you use the Inside deodorizer, it has a light inside!

It will only smell if you don’t keep up with putting more litter in or the bin getting too full and even then it’s not bad.

It tells you every time your cat has used the box and how much they weigh. If you go out of town or are just a busy person, whatever the reason is, get this. You’ll be one happy human and your furry friend will also be happy!
