1.What kind of cat litter is suitable for PURAX?
PURAX is compatible with all kinds of cat litter: Clay litter, tofu litter, and mixed litter. If you want to use other types of litter, make sure it is less than 3mm in diameter.
2.Does PURAX have a weight limit?
PURAX is ideal for cats over 6 months old and weighing between 3.5 and 18 lbs.
3.How much cat litter can be placed in PURAX?
12.8lbs clay cat litter, or 7lbs tofu cat litter, or 7.9lbs mixed cat litter. (For your information only, cat litter should not exceed the MAX line)
4.How to clean PURAX?
If it's not too bad, you can wipe it with a wet towel. If you want to clean the whole cylinder, you can take it off and rinse it with water. Please don't worry that it does not contain any electronic parts. The cat litter filter can also be removed for washing. Please note that the cylinder and cat litter filter must be dried after cleaning and then installed back to avoid corrosion. Other parts can be wiped with wet towel, please do not rinse with water directly.
5.How to eliminate odor?
PURAX uses special PETKIT deodorant purifying liquid and can be opened with one click. The deodorizer will spray the waste container for tens of seconds, effectively removing odors and viruses.
6.How loud can PURAX make when it's running?
It's about 50dB when you're 8inches away from the device, and it's about 40dB when you're 40inches away from the device.
7.How heavy can I put on the top of PURAX?
Please do not place more than 44lb.
8.How to do when the leg caps at the bottom of PURAX falls off?
The leg caps are glued to the bottom with quick-drying adhesive. It may fall off during transportation, so it can be re-pasted without affecting the use.
9.How to do when the waste container has recognition error?
Please check whether the trash bag is not pressed tightly by the press ring, the recognition error is caused by the lifting. Please use the press ring to press the trash bag tightly, and the position of the trash bag shall not exceed the highest point of the press ring. Then wipe the small red arrow at the bottom, one on the left and one on the left.
10.Do I have to use PETKIT special trash bags?
10-1.If the size of the trash bag does not match, it may block the safety sensor at the bottom and cause machine abnormalities.

11.Why did I put my hand into the cylinder to test the sensitivity of the sensor, but the cylinder didn't stop?
Because human arms are relatively thin, when your hand enters the cylinder, your hand may just avoid the sensor at the entrance. That's not the case with cats entering and exiting, because cats are much bigger than human hands, making it impossible to avoid the sensors. So it's perfectly safe for cats.
12.What to do when the deodorizer leaks?
Please add one bottle of purifying liquid at a time to the deodorizer. After adding, press the orange cover on the deodorizer repeatedly to make sure the lid is firmly closed
13.Does PURAX work perfectly when I need to take a business or short trip?
Based on the results from a lab test at PETKIT, you only need to empty the waste container every 15 days (one cat), which is enough for business or short trip. But please be sure to empty the waste container before going out, in case PURAX will not be cleaned automatically when the waste container is full.
14.How long can one bottle of purifying liquid last?
It depends on how often your cat uses PURAX. If your cat uses it 3-4 times a day, one bottle of purifying liquid will last for one month.
15.Why is the cat's weight incorrectly measured?
If your cat is not fully inside the cylinder, or continues to move after entering it, the measured weight will be inaccurate.
16.How often do I need to empty the waste container?
Based on the results from a lab test at PETKIT, you only need to empty the waste container every 15 days (one cat).
17.How to get rid of odors effectively?
17-1.It is recommended to use automatic cleaning, timely cleaning cat litter to avoid smell.

18.Is the infrared sensor in PURAX harmful to cats?

19.Why does PURAX show that the cat entered but actually it didn't?
Please make sure you place PURAX on a hard flat surface without carpet, the carpet would prevent internal weight sensors from properly detecting your cat. Place it at least 5 cm from the wall, and there is no object near the entrance.
20.Why is the percentage of remaining litter shown in the APP inaccurate?
Due to the different density of cat litter, the APP may show that the remaining cat litter is 100% if the cat litter reaches the standard weight, even if it does not reach the X line in the cylinder. Please refer to the actual capacity of different cat litter: 12.8lbs clay cat litter, or 7lbs tofu cat litter, or 7.9lbs mixed cat litter. Please do not exceed the maximum weight of cat litter, otherwise clean litter will be filtered.. Clean the cat litter filter or inner cylinder every week.
21.Why does PURAX get stuck for a few seconds during cleaning?
Please do not worry that it is normal. In order to be more conducive to clumping, and to filter the cat litter effectively.
22.Why did the clumps fall into the gap during cleaning?
If the cat litter is cleaned immediately without clumping, it will stick to the bottom and fall into the gap when the inner cylinder rotates. It is recommended to set the waiting time to 3-5 minutes in the APP.
23.I use tofu litter, but why does clean cat litter often get filtered out?
If you only use tofu cat litter, please add it to 85% or less. Because tofu litter is less fluid, adding too much litter can make clean litter easily filtered.
24.How to guide my cat to use PURAX?
Put the PURAX in the same place as your previous litter box and use the same cat litter that your cat normally uses. You can also place your cat in the litter box for the first time so that it can get used to the smell and touch of PURAX. Then, keep putting your cat in the PURAMAX litter box anytime you feel it is about to do its business.
25.Will PURAX clean watery stool?
If your cat's stool is liquid-like, set the waiting time for PURAMAX in the PETKIT app to a longer period until the stool solidified before PURAMAX can effectively clean it.
26.If the network is suddenly disconnected at home, will PURAX still work?
Yes, if the network is disconnected, PURAX will continue to work according to your previous PETKIT APP Settings.

It works well and sensors detect any movement near the unit to keep my pets safe. I do have one larger cat that it is not a good fit for (13 lbs). At this point, all 3 of my cats prefer the Pura Max because of its larger size.

Después de mucho investigar y ver comentarios, decidi comprarla. Ha hecho mucho más sencillo tener 4 gatos en casa, de 4-5.2 kg, y de 1 a 3 años de edad.
Primero dejamos que se familiarizaran con el arenero, y permitiendo aun que utilizarán areneros convencionales, luego les dejamos solo uno normal, y dejamos de limpiarlo seguido para que les pareciera más atractivo el nuevo y limpio arenero automático.
poco a poco vi que iban usando más el pura X, y el sensor de peso es muy exacto, identifica cada uno de mis gatos, la ventaja es que todos pesan diferente, sino si los puede llegar a confundir.
Después de dos - tres semanas note que solo faltaba uno de mis gatos que la usará, así que decidí quitar la última caja, con eso no tuvo más remedio que acostumbrarse.
Si tuve problemas con mi gato más grande porque no se podría acostumbrar al espacio más reducido y llegó a hacer dos veces fuera de la caja, pero ya me lo esperaba por qué también le llegó a pasar con el arenero normal. Los demás no tuvieron ningun problema.
Recomiendo hacer una limpieza profunda al menos 1 vez al mes, sirve para rellenar el líquido de aromas, y que el timmer de limpieza automática la tengan desactivada al inicio, para que no se asusten los gatos, ya que están acostumbrados, yo lo puse a media hora para que los desechos puedan solidificarse bien con la arena, sino puede manchar las paredes al caer.
Las bolsas son resistentes y el único paquete que viene me duró 3 meses, ya compre otros 5 rollos así que espero que me dure de 10-12 meses. Son resistentes y pueden bien con el cubo de residuos lleno. Tarda en llenarse de 2-3 días, depende de cuánto vayan al baño mis gatos, cada uno la utiliza de 2-3 veces al día (datos gracias a la app).
Pero cuidado de no dejar que se llene, porque a pesar que identifica que está lleno, aún así hace la limpieza cuando va un gato, y eso puede hacer que se manchen las paredes.
Si no está en una base firme o bien nivelado, puede tener problemas de medición del peso, o identificar falsamente que hay un gato en la caja, la mayoría de las veces solo lo apague y prendí, pero los problemas se solucionaron cuando lo nivele bien.
De ahí en fuera nos ha facilitado mucho el trabajo, es más fácil solo cambiar la bolsa que andar limpiando media hora todo el arenero, un ahorro de tiempo y arena bastante considerable, buena inversión!

I was nervous to get this because there aren’t many reviews on it yet but if you look on YouTube there are a lot of reviews from users in Asia that helped me make the decision. I’d been keeping an eye on the litter robot but could not get over the aesthetic of it since I live in a small space so anything out of place really sticks out. I love the design of this box a lot and comparing features with my friend who has the litter robot it seems like they are pretty much the same feature wise.
It was surprisingly easy and fast to set up. My cat also started using it right away (though she is not historically picky)
My new apartment didn’t have room in the bathroom for a litter box so I wanted something that would be clean more often than I could keep it that way since it’d be out in the open. So far between the air freshener and my (separate) air purifier there is no litter smell in my apartment at all. Be warned though it is quite large / takes up more space than decent sized trash cans (I was expecting this but knew I had the room for it).
I really couldn’t be more thrilled with this litter box. Only worry is durability since I literally just set it up but so long as this review is up it’s still working!

I’ve been waiting for an automated cat box WITHOUT the rake and crystal litter, and here it is, straight from heaven! Most awesome box ever! Was easy to set up, once I figured out how to connect it to my phone. My 2 medium sized 7.5lb and 10.1lb kitties went right to it, no problem. But my chonky 18.5lb kitty put his front paws on both sides of the door when I tried to shove him in, and meowed “nope!” (The door is a bit small for my big guy, though) But this box truly cuts out many hours of scooping. I find it takes about 4 days for my 2 cats to fill the hopper, but by then it starts to smell anyways. Thats great considering I was scooping 2 boxes twice a day before, as all 3 cats used them both. Now, the smaller kitties prefer this auto box because it’s always fresh and clean. I use “World’s Best” litter. I just wish it was big enough to accommodate my fatty. But scooping one box once a day just for him, beats 2 boxes twice a day. I also like the way it keeps track of which cat uses the box, by weighing the cat when it steps inside, and tells me how long it stays in there. Great to watch for urinary problems that cats get sometimes. At first they were curious and walked up to look in, as it started the cleaning cycle, but after a day or so, they just carried on, ignoring it. I personally feel it’s a bit overpriced, but best thing I’ve ever invested in for my cats (for me)!
